Jokes Apart, Education these days is a joke

I always wondered as a student and then as an educator, if the educated are educated by the schools or despite the schools.

Let me start with a premise that educated are educated because of the schools. We find that most of the educated people these days have done their schooling and graduated from decent schools. So it is difficult to find ‘No schooling but educated’ example which could negate the premise. Hence at the surface it looks like all education is because of schooling. This is merely a correlation that all educated are also schooled, so this may not be sufficient to say that schooling is the cause for education. If additional parameters are also included like home schooled, parental interests, motivation levels of the child, alternate education sought, we see that the weights of getting educated tends away from schooling, showing a prima facie evidence that educated are…
