JEE Main 2021 Notification released. Exam from Feb 23rd-26th.
Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ announced the JEE Main 2021 dates on 16th December. The first session of JEE Main 2021 will begin from February 23 to February 26 in multiple shifts. In a first, for the next academic session, the Engineering entrance test will be organised by NTA in four sessions. The second, third and fourth sessions will be held in March, April and May. Candidate’s best of the four scores will be considered.
The registration has begun at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Joint Entrance Exam Main is the admission test for National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). It is also the qualifying examination for the IIT admission test — JEE Advanced.
In a first, JEE Main 2021 will be held in 13 languages — English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
JEE Main 2020 paper will have 90 questions which includes 15 optional questions. These 15 questions will not have any negative marks. In total, candidates will have to answer 75 questions.
On December 15, the National Testing Agency released a JEE Main 2021 notification at jeemain.nta.nic.in which was removed a few hours later mentioning the dates to be from Feb 22nd to 25th.
