NANO is promoted by NANO Educational Society and was granted recognition by the State Intermediate Board in the year 2008 with college code 27214. NANO presently offers only Maths, Physics and Chemistry (Intermediate with MPC) as optionals. Though a majority of students take Sanskrit as their second language, the College has permission to offer French and Arabic too. Owing to increase in student strength the college shifted its campus to the current location in Nallakunta in the year 2013.

At Nano, Intermediate coverage goes on simultaneously with JEE syllabus. Regular exams are held in the Intermediate pattern in the form of Quarterly, Half Yearly and Pre-finals.
